After so many photo shoots were cancelled and weddings postponed, I was glad to hear of the roadmap out of covid restrictions and I started to make plans again. Last month I started shooting and I was so glad to see an influx of enquiries and bookings and to be busy working again after such a rocky 12-month journey.

I spent the start of 2020 doing lots of commercial photography in the Ribble Valley, that side of my business really picked up, then it all came to a halt when lockdown happened as you can imagine. I had 12 months to really think about my business and what I would like to do with it, what kind of photos I want to produce and what sort of projects I want to be working on etc. One of my goals going forward was to do more blogging and share more photos with you all, so here goes! My first blog post of 2021!

I’m starting the blogging with my first Lifestyle Session of the year. I met the Ashton family for a Grimsargh family photoshoot. I have a few favorite spots for photoshoots around the Ribble Valley and Preston area and I knew just where to meet up with them. It’s my little secret woodland, great for little explorers and garden lovers. It has lots of spots for photos and is so lovely in every season, especially for my Spring and Autumn mini shoots.

The Ashtons liked this place as well, and the boys had a great time exploring and playing around while having their photos taken, and Mum and Dad did a few snaps that reminded them of their wedding day.

Just as we were about head back home I spotted a beautiful Camellia plant in full bloom and I had a quick burst of inspiration! We snapped some photos there, and these are probably my favourite from the shoot. Happy people and flowers, two of my favourite things to photograph!
