Another year came to an end (a few weeks ago!) and I can’t believe what a whirlwind it has been! I had every intention of making this past year the year that I blog all of my weddings, to show you all the wonderful moments and details, but I just haven’t had a chance to. I was also very determined to create a blog post rounding up all the best bits of 2022 and again.. this didn’t happen.
The truth is that I have been so busy shooting weddings, editing photos and delivering wedding galleries that this kind of stuff gets pushed to the back of the line. I have managed to start blogging a bit here and there, and I can finally share a new blog post, hurrah!
Let’s go!
I had the wonderful privilege to capture a gorgeous 2 part wedding this year. It started with a very special Sledmere House Wedding ceremony in the library and marquit reception on the grounds with farm animals, lots of amazing music and a first dance outdoors. It truly was the perfect day for it.
I particularly loved exploring the house and walled garden for portraits with the bride and groom as well as flowers petal confetti falling on them as the bride and groom made their way down the incredible staircase. The bride also grew and arranged all the flowers for the wedding, that still blows me away! I always love when wedding industry suppliers book me for their weddings, it’s always gorgeous!

Now let’s skip a few months ahead to bring you Part 2, this time a breathtaking York Minster Wedding Ceremony. It was lovely to see lots of familiar faces again from the first time around, and our beautiful bride had a gorgeous teal dress with tiara for a wintery look, she looked like a real life Disney princess bride!
The setting truly took my breath away and I adored exploring to find unique spots for photos. Here are a few of my favorite images. Just look at the amazing advent wreath!
